ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Golf Equipment Specialist is tasked with cultivating relationships with golfers and collaborating closely with them and fellow teammates to guarantee a rewarding club fitting experience.

This role supports the Operations Sales Manager in meeting company goals related to sales performance, profit margins, and financial oversight by managing the sales initiatives within their department.

The Golf Equipment Specialist is also responsible for training and certifying all club fitters, with a focus on driving sales in service-related areas, including simulators, putting greens, special orders, pre-owned items, club fitting, repair services, and accessories.


Essential Functions:


Regularly reviews golf sales reports and data to identify business outcomes and opportunities, effectively communicating findings to teammates.

Establishes and nurtures strong relationships with customers, earning their trust through diplomacy and tact; ensures customers are welcomed and acknowledged;

provides assistance as needed or requested.
Oversees sales, customer service, and operational activities on the sales floor.
Acts as the primary contact for customers and teammates, offering expertise in golf services and conveying the company's standards in this area.
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of products and services, promotional offerings, test merchandise, and advertising strategies. Manages store service sales by conducting customer club fittings and repairs.
Responsible for training teammates on all service aspects, including specialized selling techniques and service technologies.

Management:
Ensures department scheduling, workplace organization, and daily teammate assignments are effectively managed.
Facilitates communication of company initiatives, programs, promotions, and services to department teammates.

Assists the store management team with general supervision in alignment with company policies and procedures, including store opening and closing duties as assigned - Key Carrier.


Operations:
Plans and implements all golf-related directives.

Ensures the store meets shrinkage goals by collaborating with teammates and management to establish expectations for merchandise display and handling to ensure accountability.

Adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations governing store operations.
Completes all other tasks as assigned by management.

Targeted Pay Range:
$19 - $28. Starting pay may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location.
