Position Overview:

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Patient Care Associate is responsible for providing essential support to patients in various clinical settings. This role involves assisting individuals with their daily living activities and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living tasks, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Provide basic care to patients who are acutely ill, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:
- Experience in phlebotomy.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completion of a PCA/PCT diploma with relevant clinical experience, or a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Alternatively, candidates may possess an EMT certification or be enrolled in an accredited nursing program with completed coursework in Nursing Fundamentals.

Training Opportunities:

If you lack prior clinical experience but hold a high school diploma or are nearing graduation, training will be provided upon hire.


Certifications:

Effective January 2019, certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained through the American Heart Association.
