Position Overview

Centralia City Schools District 135 is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of District Speech Pathologist. This position involves a range of responsibilities focused on supporting students with speech and language challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct screenings to identify students with potential speech and language disorders.
  • Evaluate and assess the individual needs of students to provide tailored support.
  • Prepare comprehensive case studies to establish eligibility for services.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate interventions.
  • Deliver effective speech therapy sessions to enhance student communication skills.
  • Develop and document annual Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including specific goals and objectives.
  • Design curriculum and prepare lesson plans that address the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications

All applicants must hold a valid Illinois license in Speech Pathology. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a license that permits classroom instruction.
