Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

Job Summary

This is a skilled position responsible for repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, with experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform preventative maintenance duties, per manufacturer's specifications.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments, as needed.
  • Work in a high-speed manufacturing environment, with a focus on team-oriented, deadline-driven, high-performance demands.
  • Must be able to work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals, and lift up to 60 pounds, climb, stand, walk, crouch, squat, bend, and kneel continually over an hour period.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years maintenance experience, with food maintenance experience a plus or college degree in lieu of experience.
  • Must pass the pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Must pass the validated Selection Test.
