Cooler Loadout Job Description

The Cooler Loadout position at Prairie Farms Dairy Inc is a critical role that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. As a Cooler Loadout, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of dairy equipment and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on dairy equipment, including scrubbing pipe fittings and machines with chemical solution, dismantling and reassembling machines, and attaching pipes and fittings to machines.
  • Inventory Management: Open containers and bags, and dump various ingredients into machine hoppers, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Equipment Operation: Start and stop machines and equipment, and load cartons into machines, ensuring efficient production and minimizing downtime.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sweeping and cleaning floors, and disposing of waste and recyclables.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous dairy experience preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to climb, stoop, crawl, twist, and turn, and move objects above and below the head, and walk continually to perform job functions.
  • Work Environment: Must be able to work in a very hot (over 100 degrees) and very cold (below 20 degrees) environment, and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time.
Core Requirements:
  • Age: Minimum age: 18.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screen.
