Job Summary

Blumark is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant and Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving payrolls, handling full-cycle accounting for 60 companies, and finalizing taxes for business clients.

Responsibilities
  • Review and approve payrolls for accuracy and compliance
  • Manage full-cycle accounting for 60 companies, including financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Finalize taxes for business clients, including corporate and individual tax returns
  • Conduct insurance audits and prepare and distribute W-2s
  • Prepare and submit quarterly taxes for 80+ companies
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in accounting or related field required; Bachelor's degree with CPA or aspiring to sit for the CPA exam preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting and payroll experience, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Thompson Reuters suite, and ADP Run, with experience in financial software and systems
