About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Signal and Communication Design Expert to join our team at Canadian National Railway. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and modifying signal circuits for railway Centralized Traffic Control (CTC), wayside signal systems, and highway-railway grade crossing warning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and modify signal circuits to ensure safe and effective operation of railway systems
  • Coordinate with wiring vendors and S&C Material Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials
  • Provide field and technical support to install and maintain crossing warning systems functions within the railway
  • Act as a technical resource for department personnel in the area of Signal Design for installation and construction functions within the railway
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical discipline
  • Between 1 to 3 years of experience in designing or testing signal circuits, scheduling and reviewing projects, programming logic controllers, and using computer aided drafting software
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent
