Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operation of radiology patient services
  • Direct and educate staff, maintain equipment and supplies, and perform advanced procedures as needed
  • Schedule and provide direction to Radiologic Technologists
  • Coordinate the flow of patients through diagnostic procedures
  • May perform routine and complex radiologic procedures
  • Assist radiologists in evaluating new products and equipment
  • Oversee the maintenance of x-ray equipment and resolve any malfunctions
  • Oversee and coordinate quality assurance and quality improvement activities
  • Establish quality measures and standards
  • Conduct employee evaluations and address problems by providing employees with feedback on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and conduct employee training programs
  • Regularly meet with and communicate operational changes to staff
  • Assist in developing short and long-term goals and objectives
  • Assist in reviewing and administering departmental policies, procedures, and related forms in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • CPR certification required
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience to include at minimum of one (1) year supervisory or Level 3 RT experience
