Surgical Team Member

As a Surgical Technologist at UF Health Shands, you will play a vital role in delivering direct patient care before, during, and after surgery. You will work closely with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.


Key Responsibilities

Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room and ensuring that all necessary equipment and instruments are available.

Function as an instrument assistant, passing instruments to the surgeon as needed, and maintaining a sterile environment.

Work under the supervision of a registered nurse to ensure that all patient care needs are met.


Qualifications

Surgical Technologist

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist program or Certified Surgical Technologist with less than one-year experience.

None
