About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time Licensed Hygienist to join our team at Middlesex Dental Care. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide thorough and gentle dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and patient education.
  • Collaborate with our experienced dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene techniques and technologies, and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, and maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
  • A current dental hygienist license in Connecticut.
  • An Associate or Bachelor degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and patient screening and medical history documentation.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
  • A desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
