Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN/RN Nurse to join our team at DAKOTABILITIES INC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and safe administration.
  2. Assist with annual plans, doctor appointments, and staff training, providing direct care to individuals as assigned.
  3. Conduct daily medical treatments, including intermittent catheterizations, sterile dressings, and nebulizer treatments.
  4. Document all aspects of care, including physician orders, significant behavior reports, and therapy documentation.
  5. Participate in monthly nursing and residential staff meetings, providing in-service training to staff as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned, including pager responsibilities and compliance with State Board of Nursing Policies/Procedures and DDD ARSD regulations.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate LPN or RN licensure
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Ability to work 12 and 8 hour shifts with rotating days/nights/weekends/holidays and pager rotation
  • Ability to lift and transfer as necessary

Working Conditions:

The following actions are performed continuously: Lift >10 lbs. and see.

The following actions are performed frequently: Kneel, crouch, stand, walk, lift >25 lbs., push, bend, reach, handle, finger (pinch-type activity), repetitive movement, talk, and hear.

The following actions are performed occasionally: Sit, lift >50 lbs., carry, pull, and balance.

The following actions are performed seldom: Crawl and climb.
