Key Responsibilities
  • Drive company trucks and trailers to deliver various cargo across short and long distances.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal transportation laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and manage preventative maintenance on assigned vehicles, coordinating repairs with the internal maintenance team as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the dispatch team to enhance route efficiency and load management while maintaining required documentation in accordance with industry standards.
  • Independently or with assistance, connect and disconnect trailers, secure loads, and manage tarping as required by the type of cargo.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required (unless applying as a student)
    • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record for Class A vehicles
    • At least one year of prior experience driving tractor/trailer (unless applying as a Student Driver)
    • Must meet all medical and safety standards set by the Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Familiarity with DOT regulations and Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to adapt to changing business conditions
    • Willingness to travel overnight as required
