Job Summary

As a Deputy Sheriff with Johnson County Government, you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws in our community. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our citizens.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and enforce traffic laws and regulations.

•⁠ ⁠Investigate crimes, gather evidence, and testify in court proceedings as needed.

•⁠ ⁠Provide support services to the community, including crisis intervention and emergency response.

•⁠ ⁠Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices.

Requirements

•⁠ ⁠Must be at least 21 years old and a United States citizen.

•⁠ ⁠Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with an acceptable record.

•⁠ ⁠Must not have had a felony conviction or its equivalent under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
