Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital's Inpatient Imaging Department. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will perform radiography (x-ray) examinations to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent patient communication, and a commitment to delivering safe and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiography exams on patients, ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams, obtain and record vital signs, explain procedures, and administer IVs and contrast when necessary.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and ensure the technical quality of images.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on radiology equipment, and assist with accreditation applications.
  • Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • A current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
  • Registration as a Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients, working collaboratively with others to perform job functions.
