We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at SSM Health. Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Implementation and Evaluation: Implement care plans, employing strategies to promote and maintain a safe environment, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Education and Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain current knowledge and competence in critical care nursing practice.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, and any other certifications required by the state of employment.
The ICU nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing care to critically ill patients. The nurse will be required to stand for long periods, lift and move patients, and use critical thinking skills to make decisions in a timely manner.
