About the Role:
Highland Hospital, a leading behavioral health facility, seeks a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our medical team. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality, efficiency, and management of medical services within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services to patients, adhering to federal and state regulations, as well as corporate and facility policies.
- Oversee and supervise other professional medical staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Define protocols and assist in decision-making regarding patient care, ensuring consistency with current medical practice and facility policies.
- Monitor staff adherence to established medical and facility policies and procedures.
- Provide backup call coverage and serve as a liaison between medical staff, other clinic staff, and organizational leadership.
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) with completion of psychiatric residency training.
- One or more years of post-graduate practice experience preferred.
- Previous experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment preferred.
- Current license to practice medicine in the state where the facility operates.
- Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification in a behavioral health specialty.
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions.
