This position will receive an hourly Coastal Differential in addition to the base hourly rate due to the needs of the Coastal Clinics.
- Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare practitioners in the performance of procedures, including telephone prescription orders and refills, maintaining patient records, and relaying test results.
- Support patients with serious illness and their caregivers in living with hope, resilience, and dignity throughout their journey.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and patients.
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.
- Healthcare Provider BLS required.
- Previous medical back office experience or medical assistant training preferred.
- Patient Care
- Possess the skills and knowledge needed to assist and care for others.
- Ability to recognize symptoms, drug properties and interactions, treatments, and preventive health-care measures within scope of practice.
