Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UF Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, collaborating with physicians to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately
* Follow established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks
* Assist during exams, treatments, and procedures, including chaperoning correlating findings with procedure being performed and ensuring Time-Out observed on appropriate procedures according to policy
* Demonstrate proficiency at inserting and maintaining IVs
* Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures
* Demonstrate ability to perform laboratory Quality Controls and Assessments, and routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function according to Laboratory Policy and Procedure
* Ensure proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment, and medications are available for patient care and Par levels meet facility needs
* Participate in QAPI activities, including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards
* Adhere to established facility/departmental policies and procedures
* Prepare patient meals as needed in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
* Attend and participate in all applicable facility meetings, training, and development workshops
* Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements

* Required advanced MRI certification upon hire
* Prefer at least one year of experience as MRI Technologist
* Required ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist
* Must have current BLS certification
