Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Specialist to join our team at KHS USA INC. In this role, you will support field sales personnel with machine quotations and other commercial information for KHS packaging equipment.

About the Role

  • Review Requests for Quotes (RFQs) from Sales personnel or customers; analyze and evaluate customer's technical and commercial requirements.
  • Specify the proper machine, components, and technology for customer's application; establish a pricing structure for the project; access information from various sources for costs; propose solutions that meet technical and commercial requirements; interface with Sales and the customer in clarifying technical scope.
  • Prepare quotations/proposals for packaging systems including equipment and/or services utilizing KHS' quoting processes, procedures, and tools; ensure quotes are compliant with standards and all customer requirements have been met; process project orders.
  • Oversee order confirmation and risk review; gather technical information missing from the RFQ and incorporate into the quotation; serve as quotation guardian for product specialty; follow ISO procedures for sales activity.
  • Review and assess 3rd party quotations and technical information for compliance as required per the application.
  • Prepare cost estimates for project impact on customer's line; explain technical functions of machinery and components; articulate competitive advantages of KHS line compared to competitor's machines.
  • Track and analyze proposal and sales order activity of the product line for management needs.
  • Support and may participate in sales process including sales calls, presentations, and qualification of customers; may attend trade shows and conferences as directed by management.
  • This position requires up to 20% travel by public transportation including airlines. A valid passport and driver's license are required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Three (3) or more years related experience in engineering or sales of packaging machines.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferably with packing and filling equipment used in the food and beverage industries.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time, must have valid driver's license, valid passport upon hired or ability to obtain one in 90 days or less.
