Inpatient Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our Acute Care Services team. As a respected leader in the behavioral health field, we provide comprehensive and innovative mental health and substance use treatment services.

The Acute Care Program includes the Emergency Services Assessment Center as well as Crisis Stabilization Units for both adults and children. Our team provides invaluable assistance to those in need who are taking their first, second or final steps towards true health and wellness.

We are looking to enhance our already highly reputed Acute Care Team with a Psychiatrist who can demonstrate dedicated energy and compassion while remaining calm and collected in crisis situations. The inpatient acute care psychiatrist will work closely with the Director of Acute Care Services while demonstrating a high level of independent responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides direct psychiatric services in a residential inpatient setting.
• Oversees assigned Medical Director functions for Detox and substance use recovery programs.
• Attends Baker Act hearings and completes periodic Baker Act evaluations to inmates via telemedicine.
• Actively participates in treatment planning with other staff to design optimal Client care.
• Assesses Clients' mental health status, diagnostic impressions supported by the presenting symptoms, clinical summary, and treatment recommendations.
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with Clients and families to achieve treatment goals.
• Ensures appropriate medication prescription and responds to address and manage side effects.
