Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Phaxis is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students in a local contract setting.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled SLP to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of communication disorders in students from PreK-12. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with school staff and families to support students in achieving academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's specific needs.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy in both individual and group settings, targeting areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate speech-language goals into classroom instruction and activities.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for interventions and accommodations that support student success.
  • Train and support educators and parents on strategies to encourage speech and language development in the classroom and home environments.
  • Stay informed on best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid New Hampshire SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
