Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Phaxis is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students in a local contract setting.
Job Description:We are looking for a skilled SLP to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of communication disorders in students from PreK-12. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with school staff and families to support students in achieving academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's specific needs.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy in both individual and group settings, targeting areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language development.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate speech-language goals into classroom instruction and activities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for interventions and accommodations that support student success.
- Train and support educators and parents on strategies to encourage speech and language development in the classroom and home environments.
- Stay informed on best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid New Hampshire SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
