AdventHealth for Children is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeon to join our esteemed program in Orlando, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess several years of experience and a strong interest in brain tumors and craniofacial surgery, collaborating with our dedicated pediatric neuro oncologist and plastics craniofacial surgeon.
Our program is led by Dr. Jim Baumgartner, Chief of our newly reorganized division of pediatric neurosurgery. Our team includes three PA's providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The hospital boasts eight dedicated neurosurgical operating suites, including a 3T intraoperative MRI and a 64-slice intraoperative CT. We also have a dedicated 8-bed epilepsy monitoring unit, state-of-the-art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, MEG center, and Gamma Knife. Additionally, we utilize Monteris LITT and InSightec ExAblate focused ultrasound.
The physician will work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team, including pharmacology, psychology, pediatric neurology, pediatric radiology, and pediatric epilepsy. Our goal is to establish a leading best practice model, driven by research and data, and led by experts. We are a long-standing member of COG in the Central Florida community.
Our surgical epilepsy program is one of the busiest in the nation, and we have been the top volume program in Florida for 10 consecutive years. Our pediatric neurology and epilepsy team is also expanding, providing care for patients from around the country in our Level IV program.

- Board certification through the American Board of Neurosurgery

This is an employment opportunity with AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), a sister organization of AdventHealth, employing over 900 physicians in 70+ specialties.
