Operating Room Clinical Resource Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Resource Nurse to join our Operating Room team in Urology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the nursing process and delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients, ensuring consistency with the medical plan and responsiveness to patient needs.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members to expedite and coordinate the delivery of services, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Develop and implement teaching plans based on patient learning needs, educating patients and family members on disease processes, testing, medications, and signs/symptoms.
- Assure timely initiation, completion, communication, and documentation of nursing care, including testing, treatment, teaching, and discharge planning activities.
- Consult with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and Health Care Coordinator for complex patient care management and discharge planning.
- Identify barriers to implementing the plan of care or achieving expected outcomes, consulting appropriate resources to report and/or resolve problems.
- Exhibit fiscal accountability through cost-effective use of time, materials, and other resources.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care hospital.
- Graduated from a school of nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- BLS certification required.
