Job Overview

The Nail Technician is responsible for providing exceptional nail, hand, and foot treatments to our guests. This role requires a thorough knowledge of nail care, including hand and foot massage techniques, and a neat application of polish. The ideal candidate will possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train with our spa-specific treatment protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and perform services within the allotted time frame.
  • Receive guests for their services in a courteous and polite manner.
  • Provide consistent and professional nail, hand, and foot treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the spa's property and special events to advise guests.
  • Respond to guest requests, complaints, or inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Develop the ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned posts for extended periods.
  • Regularly attend and participate in training and staff meetings for the Spa.
  • Assist in all areas of the spa operation, including the locker room and fitness center as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality with respect to guest information.
  • Communicate any occurrences involving staff or guests to management.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • Currently hold and maintain a Cosmetology License or Nail Technician License from the states of Alabama, Florida, or Mississippi.
  • Previous spa or salon experience required.
  • Must successfully pass a job interview, including a guest service audition.
  • Capable of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure.
  • Demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, positive demeanor in stressful situations, and attention to detail at all times.
  • Must be efficient, productive, and maintain an on-time schedule of appointments.
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, push, and/or carry items weighing in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license).
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.
