About the Role:
Duly Health and Care is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of our collaborating physician, Dr. Kudsi, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Practice at the top of your license and form trusting relationships with patients, working collaboratively with Dr. Kudsi and other clinical staff members.
- Gain increased autonomy and independence in decision making, with support from Dr. Kudsi and the clinical team.
- Impact care delivery and patient satisfaction by participating in clinical decisions and contributing to the development of new clinical programs.
- Develop a 1:1 relationship and partnership with Dr. Kudsi, clinical staff members, and management, working together to achieve shared goals.
- Participate in a structured training program, including orientation, shadowing, and onboarding, to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete patient examinations and treatment, order diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, prescribe medication, provide patient and family education, and complete documentation.
- Participate in in-hospital rounds and consults with the surgeon, providing expert care and guidance.
- Assist in the operating room, providing surgical support and expertise.
- Provide post-op clinic and patient follow-up care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate on the development and management of a new anorectal pathology clinic, contributing to the growth and success of our surgical program.
