About the Role

As a PreOp Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for implementing physician orders, providing high-quality patient care, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Pre-op/PACU, Manager, and Charge Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver indirect and direct patient care according to established standards.
  • Act as a patient advocate, meeting physical and psychological needs.
  • Perform patient assessment and reassessment, documenting these assessments as a basis for planning each patient's care.
  • Communicate patient information to responsible practitioners and document nursing interventions and patient responses.
  • Take emergency call as assigned and understand sterile technique.
  • Integrate and coordinate care across settings and among disciplines.
  • Implement physician's orders effectively and safely.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current TX Nursing License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU and/or hospital setting.
