Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an Echo Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
  • Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
  • Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler Exams
  • Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to Physician and benchmark standards
  • Perform quality Trans esophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
  • Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
  • Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
  • Perform all related processing required for each completed study
  • Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
  • Must have 1 year of experience
  • Must have BLS and ARMDS or CCI National Certification and state-specific licensing when required
  • Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
  • Echo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
