Job Overview

Position Purpose & Summary

The Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is seeking a skilled Salon Hair Care Specialist to deliver exceptional hair services, including haircuts, coloring, conditioning, and styling treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a range of hair and salon services.
  • Welcome and greet clients and guests upon arrival at the Spa/Salon.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and spa personnel to ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle all preparatory and follow-up tasks related to service delivery (including setting up and breaking down treatment areas, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness).
  • Perform hair treatments such as coloring, cutting, and styling using various tools and products.
  • Complete all scheduled services in accordance with established protocols and timelines.
  • Provide clients with aftercare instructions.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Spa by ensuring a tidy and organized work environment and fostering effective communication among team members.
  • Maintain a record of regular clients.
  • Assist clients with inquiries related to the Spa and Club services.
  • Uphold the "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific practices.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to ensure a cohesive service experience.

  • Greet every guest and team member with a positive demeanor and adhere to "I Am Proud" standards.
  • Provide exceptional service that aligns with the organization's values.
  • Promote wellness and embody the STRATA virtues in all interactions.
  • Support the brand and mission of the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club.
  • Take initiative to resolve issues proactively.
  • Bid farewell to guests in a courteous manner.
  • Address feedback constructively using the LEARN Model.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and prioritize client needs.
  • Follow company policies and safety protocols.

Position Requirements:

  1. Minimum Knowledge & Skills: At least 2 years of experience in a resort, club, or day spa setting.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Licenses & Certifications: Valid Cosmetology and Barber License from the State of Colorado.

Communication:

  • Daily: Interact with Spa Concierge and Management.
  • Weekly: Collaborate with Spa and Salon Management.
  • Occasionally: Engage in one-on-one coaching sessions.

Teamwork: This role necessitates ongoing collaboration and communication within the team and across departments.

Additional Certifications:

Required: Valid Driver's License, CPR Certification, Food Protection Manager Certification, Food Handler Certification, Alcohol Server/Seller Certification.

Work Environment:

The position may involve working in various settings, including indoor and outdoor environments, and may require adaptability to different weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
  • Occasional lifting of weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and coordination.

Environmental Factors:

Work may involve exposure to indoor lighting, ventilation, and occasional outdoor conditions.
