This is a leadership opportunity that requires exceptional interpersonal skills, multi-dimensional thinking, and a desire to be an agent of positive change. You'll be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations, Team Member development, Customer service standards, facilities management, and business results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate an environment of trust, open communication, creative thinking, and teamwork.
- Motivate and engage Team Members by ensuring they understand how their work supports our business strategy.
- Lead by setting a good example and role modeling behavior consistent with your words.
- Understand key Team Member engagement drivers and actively work to connect with Team Members on an individual and professional level.
- Set clear expectations and ensure Team Members are held accountable for performance standards.
- Provide daily coaching and performance feedback.
- Facilitate problem-solving and collaboration.
- Train and mentor new Team Members, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and technical skills to do their roles effectively.
- Recognize and celebrate individual and team accomplishments/exceptional performance.
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance coaching to funeral directors and funeral services staff.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Valid state-issued funeral director license.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role.
- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, community leaders, clergy, and grieving client families.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and a team player.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
