Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is seeking a Custodial Supervisor. The Custodial Supervisor will oversee the assignment and direct management of custodial staff to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of designated areas. This role involves inspecting locations, equipment, and working conditions to guarantee adherence to sanitation and OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the activities of personnel within the Custodial program.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on tasks, safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure custodial services align with site requirements.
  • Supply custodial staff with necessary equipment and materials.
  • Distribute supplies to custodians as required.
  • Conduct routine quality, service, and safety assessments of assigned areas, documenting findings with a focus on necessary repairs.
  • Assess and recommend new custodial supplies and equipment through testing.
  • Verify that specified contract services are delivered by inspecting the contractor's work.
  • Notify the immediate supervisor of any work deficiencies or issues.
  • Report personnel and customer concerns to the supervisor.
  • Immediately report accidents and incidents to the supervisor.
  • Execute management duties in line with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Ensure compliance with SBM policies and procedures among team members.
  • Promote operational excellence through training, coaching, and motivating team members.
  • Address complaints and resolve issues effectively.
  • Ensure staff are adequately trained on tasks and safety protocols.
  • Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment and supplies by employees.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in areas needing attention.
  • Maintain employee records, including attendance and performance metrics.
  • Address at-risk behaviors and report them to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

  • At least two to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, such as an A.A. Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) with a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification is a plus.

Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 per year

Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (some weekends)
