Overview:
The Stamping Process Engineer is responsible for leveraging extensive knowledge of metal forming techniques and machinery. This role emphasizes the mechanical expertise necessary for optimizing manufacturing workflows, layouts, and production equipment, particularly in the context of bearing production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical assistance for existing metal forming machinery and processes to maximize operational efficiency.
- Design and develop tooling, including dies, punches, and die-sets, essential for metalworking in manufacturing.
- Lead troubleshooting initiatives for tooling-related challenges in the metal forming domain.
- Conduct standard analyses, calculations, and produce necessary drawings for product engineering designs.
- Manage multiple projects independently, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement objectives while meeting deadlines.

- Collaborate with fellow engineers to resolve issues related to the manufacturing of both new and existing products.
- Engage with data analysis to enhance, troubleshoot, and refine various processes.
- Work closely with suppliers to validate engineering designs, focusing on requirements such as cycle time and tooling specifications.
- Facilitate equipment trials both at vendor locations and in-house.
- Offer guidance to engineering technicians, interns, and team members as needed.

- Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams, including Quality Engineering and production supervisors.
- Oversee design, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing lines, while supporting equipment design needs and administrative tasks throughout various project phases.
- Assist in the launch of new programs and provide daily engineering support for production operations.

Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with troubleshooting dies, punches, and related tooling used in presses.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of equipment safety and compliance standards.
- Proficient in Creo, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD, with a good grasp of PFMEA principles.
- Highly innovative and motivated, with a collaborative spirit.

- Organized and capable of thriving under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to translate engineering theories into practical applications in manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control for effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Competence in documenting process changes in line with a structured Quality Assurance framework.

- Strong independent work ethic within a team environment.
- Systematic and structured approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, problem-solving methodologies, and root-cause analysis techniques.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with effective project management capabilities.

- Proficient in using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Practical understanding of problem-solving techniques such as 8D, A3, and 5 Whys.

Education and Experience:
- Candidates should possess a BS in Mechanical Engineering, along with 3-5 years of experience in metal forming processes and presses.
