Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Test Technician to join our team at TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for conducting electrical and mechanical tests on industrial electric motors and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical tests on industrial electric motors and related equipment, including medium voltage drives and rotational apparatus.
  • Prepare test setups, including cabling, clamping, fixturing, instrumentation, piping, and other necessary equipment.
  • Operate and maintain test equipment, including oscilloscopes, meters, sensors, thermocouples, and other specialized tools.
  • Record and analyze test data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering personnel to resolve problems and improve test procedures.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in electrical testing and maintenance, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, including safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced production environment, with regular exposure to electrical and mechanical equipment. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with occasional exposure to hazardous materials and equipment.
