As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring activities engaged in the dock work activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and meeting daily shipment requirements to guarantee AIT's service levels are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Dock Area Operations: Oversee the quality, workmanship, productivity, recovery, sanitation, and employee practices in the assigned dock area.
  • Meet Daily Shipment Requirements: Ensure that customers' goods arrive at their final destination on time and are received in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and Expedite Work Flow: Monitor the work flow of the dock assigned area, make adjustments as necessary, and answer questions from dock employees regarding processes and procedures.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Follow safety policies and ensure that warehouse personnel adhere to safety procedures in place to maintain dock order and cleanliness.
  • Communicate with Management: Communicate with management and other leads any problems or concerns with attendance, performance, and dock operations.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Train dock agents in dock processes, safety, and assist personnel to improve processes and performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in warehouse operations or a related field.
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to meet deadlines in a high-paced environment, and ability to manage multiple assignments in a changing environment.
  • Certifications: Forklift certification required.
