About Your Role: The Vehicle Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the visual appeal of our inventory, operating vehicles, and maintaining a tidy and professional lot appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, relocate, and maintain vehicles on the dealership premises.
  • Transport newly delivered vehicles to designated locations.
  • Facilitate vehicle exchanges with local dealerships.
  • Ensure vehicle aesthetics and functionality by cleaning both the interior and exterior, replenishing fluids, and replacing batteries as necessary.
  • Maintain an organized lot by moving vehicles as instructed and adhering to dealership display standards.
  • Drive vehicles to and from service areas and parking lots as required.
  • Create key tags and manage vehicle inventory.
  • Retrieve and deliver vehicles from various locations.
  • Refuel vehicles as needed.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours as determined by management.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience Required:

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales or detailing is preferred.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • A valid state driver's license is required to operate customer or company vehicles.

  • Capability to multitask in a dynamic work environment.

Supervisory Expectations:

  • This position does not entail regular supervisory responsibilities over other team members.

Independence of Action:

  • Work is closely monitored by a supervisor/manager, with detailed instructions and procedures typically provided.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The work environment resembles that of a typical auto body shop, where distractions from staff, clients, and vendors are common. Employees must effectively complete their tasks amidst these interruptions.
  • Physical demands include occasional sitting, frequent use of hands, talking, and hearing. Employees must regularly stand, walk, reach, and perform tasks that may require bending or kneeling.
  • Employees must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds safely. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noises, and hazardous materials, necessitating proper safety precautions and protective equipment.
