Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at UW Medical Center - Montlake. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Perform diagnostic procedures such as bone, bone marrow, and WBC scans, as well as cardiac perfusion scans and Muga studies.
  • Therapeutic Procedures: Administer radioactive materials for therapeutic purposes, such as treating cancer and thyroid disorders.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers.
  • Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed throughout the procedure.
  • Quality Control: Participate in quality control activities to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
Requirements
  • Certifications: NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine required.
  • Licensure: Washington state license required.
  • Education: Associate's degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field required.
Work Environment

This is a travel position, and you will be working at UW Medical Center - Montlake. You will be required to float within the hospital and may be called off without charge or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to 1 shift's worth of hours in a 2-week cycle.

Additional Information

Candidates must float within the hospital and are not allowed to float to sister hospitals. Locals are accepted, but pending licenses are not. There is a 1-week maximum restriction on Requested Time Off (RTO).
