Ocular Tissue Recovery Coordinator

Job Summary: Eversight seeks a skilled Ocular Tissue Recovery Coordinator to join our team. This part-time position involves performing human eye enucleations and/or in situ corneal excisions according to Eversight protocols at our New Jersey location. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working with cadavers, and possess proficiency in technical procedures after training.

This position requires a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless execution of eye donations, providing exceptional customer service and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform human eye enucleations and/or in situ corneal excisions according to Eversight protocols
- Coordinate recovery logistics with other organizations and maintain effective communication with clinical staff
- Complete required recovery documentation and observe strict confidentiality of donor and recipient information
- Participate in periodic competency assessments and maintain professional and technical knowledge

Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push a stretcher/morgue cart with a body weight up to 400 pounds
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all staff within and outside the organization

Compensation:
$125 per case + mileage reimbursement. Salary negotiable based on experience.

Work Environment:
Work performed in a patient care setting, such as a hospital operating room or morgue, or another facility like a funeral home, potentially exposing you to communicable diseases or hazardous materials.
