Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse I to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a RN I, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing services to our residents, including assessment, specialized nursing care, and documentation of care and treatment provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform admission and daily assessments to identify critical incidents, emergencies, acute illnesses, and behavior changes.
  • Implement appropriate nursing interventions, treatment care plans, and physician referrals.
  • Document current, accurate, and pertinent information regarding care and treatment provided to individual residents.
  • Identify and report abnormality in resident's health status indicated by symptoms, vital signs, and laboratory results.
  • Direct and implement nursing care to residents by assuring compliance with accepted standards of nursing care, departmental and facility policies and procedures, and VA and State of Colorado regulatory requirements.
  • Perform prescribed, specialized treatments and ensure safe and accurate medication administration.
  • Monitor the clinical, physical, and environmental safety of all residents through assessments and regularly scheduled rounds.
Requirements
  • Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Must possess a current, valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.
  • Must be willing to test for Tuberculosis (TB) test/obtain a flu vaccine.
  • Must have a current valid CPR card.
