Job Overview: Groundskeeper II - West University Place

**Job Summary:**
The City of West University Place is seeking a skilled Groundskeeper II to maintain the beauty and functionality of our parks and green spaces. As a key member of our grounds crew, you will be responsible for performing routine tests, maintenance, and repair of grounds, vehicles, equipment, infrastructure, plant, public areas, and related items.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Performs journey-level maintenance and operational activities in assigned areas
- Operates, inspects, and maintains equipment, machines, and vehicles, including hand and power tools, backhoes, front-end loaders, vehicles, and sludge press machines
- Provides customer service by assisting the public, vendors, and other internal/external departments or agencies
- Collects and transports solid waste and recyclables from city parks
- Prepares, maintains, updates, and forwards records, reports, logs, bills, checklists, service orders, and other documentation

**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience related to area of assignment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Irrigation Technician Certification

**Salary Range:** $42,500 - $54,500 per year
