Job Title: Network Security and Collaboration Specialist

The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking a highly skilled network security and collaboration specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure communication systems that enable effective collaboration and teamwork. This includes developing and deploying conferencing and collaboration solutions using commercial and standards-based technologies.

About the Role
  • Design and implement secure conferencing and collaboration solutions using commercial and standards-based technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with technical specialists in other fields as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design decisions and implementation plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information science and technology, computer science, or another related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in developing and deploying Unified Communications solutions.
  • Demonstrated skill in designing, deploying, and configuring session border controllers, managing voice and video gateways, and integrating IP and TDM-based systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to document design decisions and present to both expert and non-expert audiences.
