Audubon Companies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer to lead our Smart P ID Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating, checking, and drafting assignments associated with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams using SPPID and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities- P ID Package Development: Prepare and maintain complete P ID packages, including preliminary, conceptual, and detail design deliverables.
- Revision Management: Implement revisions and change management per company standards and direction from engineering.
- Bluebeam Coordination: Maintain and coordinate Bluebeam sessions for redline markups and change management.
- Communication and Collaboration: Clarify instructions with drafters and engineers when drawing markups or verbal instructions are unclear.
- Quality Assurance: Check drafted drawings for consistency, completeness, and accuracy from provided markups and approved legends/specs, including within the database.
- Process Improvement: Continually look for product improvements and cost reductions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree from a Technical Institution preferred.
- Experience: Intergraph Smart P ID experience of 10+ years required; experience with data publishing/retrieving from SPPID and AutoCAD software required.
- Skills: Ability to read and understand drawing markups to determine drafting requirements; ability to utilize conventional drafting tools and CAD software to execute drafting requirements; ability to work in a team-oriented environment; ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
