Leonardo DRS RADA Technologies is a global leader in proprietary radar solutions and legacy avionics systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Technician (RF) to join our team.

Job Summary

This role involves creating test procedures, conducting production testing on radar system performance, recording results, and maintaining product quality to meet predetermined standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to engineers on complex components, devices, materials, products, processes, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair RF, communications, and power PCBs.
  • Perform cable terminations.
  • Conduct system tests using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Calibrate RF sensors.
  • Configure hardware/software (test platforms).
  • Document UUT configurations and analyze causes of EUT failures.
  • Accurately document test data.
  • Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches.
  • Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules.
  • Evaluate compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Ensure efficient flow of information and materials among departments.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators:
  1. Meet production deadlines.
  2. Quality of finished products (pass/fail rates).
  3. Raw material stock levels.
  4. Compliance outcomes.

Requirements

  • An associate's degree in electronics, engineering, or equivalent experience in the field or related area.
  • Five years of experience in a test environment.
  • Active secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
  • Experience handling small delicate components and practicing ESD techniques.
  • Surface mounted and through-hole solder experience.
  • Safe handling of chemicals experience.
  • Familiarity with various computer applications, including Excel and Python.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Familiarity with AC, DC, RF test, and measurement equipment operation.
    • Test stand operation experience, anechoic chamber, environmental chamber, and use of spectrum analyzer and signal generator.
    • Experience troubleshooting and tuning radars, antennas, or other RF devices in near-field and/or far-field ranges.
    • Knowledge of electronic theory principles and general component functions.
