Job Overview

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Copy Editor to collaborate with a prominent financial services client in Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of the marketing team, this editor will be responsible for reviewing and refining a diverse range of marketing materials to ensure exceptional quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit print and digital materials for clarity, grammar, accuracy, consistency, style, and tone, as well as disclosure requirements.
  • Verify statistics and facts against internal and external sources, and recommend edits based on knowledge of target audience and internal/external style guides.
  • Update and/or identify changes to information in materials that require quarterly/annual updates, including statistical information and changes in investment and risk disclosures.
  • Monitor, track, and incorporate compliance language updates to ensure materials comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed of and apply style guide changes in content to ensure consistency of tone and style across Customer's communications.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate sound judgment when resolving matters of moderate complexity.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong grammar and syntax skills.
  • Display in-depth knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and style guides, and apply that knowledge to work assignments.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and across diverse groups, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Follow production schedules, track deliverables, solve problems, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Exhibit strong detail orientation, process orientation, organizational, and multitasking skills, and effectively manage an unpredictable workload.
  • Have a working knowledge of financial and investment concepts.
  • Require at least 3-5 years of copyediting experience, with a preference for experience in financial, pharmaceutical, or medical environments.
