We are seeking a highly skilled Research Technician I to join our dynamic team at Inotiv. This role is responsible for conducting preclinical research studies, ensuring compliance with established protocols, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for animals.
Key Responsibilities- Review and implement study protocols, ensuring adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory requirements.
- Dose animals according to established protocols, using various routes of administration.
- Collect and record biological samples, body weights, and feed consumption values.
- Perform daily cleaning duties and observe animals to ensure their well-being and health.
- Participate in training programs for technical staff and maintain confidential information.
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science field preferred.
- Experience working with animals preferred.
- Good organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to stand/walk on concrete for at least 2 hours at a time.
- Lift up to 50lbs on occasion.
- Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, squat, and lift.
- Manual dexterity to catch and hold animals.
