We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery setting in Brawley, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to women before, during, and after delivery.
About the RoleThis travel nurse position requires 3 years of recent acute care experience, with a strong focus on providing medical and emotional support to patients throughout the birthing process. As an Intensive Care Nurse, you will work closely with physicians to administer epidurals or pain medications, perform episiotomies, and prepare patients for cesarean deliveries.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor patients throughout labor, providing continuous support and care
- Assist patients with breathing techniques and monitor contractions
- Check cervical dilation periodically to track progression
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring beds are kept clean and dry
- Aid physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments
- Provide immediate care to newborns
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- AWHONN certification
- 3 years of recent acute care experience
