Location: Indianapolis, IN
This role requires engagement in a dynamic environment (Sterile Processing) handling approximately 45-75 cases daily. Candidates must be prepared to remain on their feet for extended periods and lift weights of 25-30 lbs. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, assemble, and assess all surgical instruments and sets to ensure quality, identify repair/replacement needs, validate completeness, and facilitate effective sterilization.
- Operate sterilization equipment and inspect instruments, equipment, and containers for cleanliness and proper functionality.
- Decontaminate soiled instruments, sterilization containers, and equipment according to established protocols and instructions for use (IFUs).
- Adjust instrument sets in accordance with current standards and established count sheets or tracking systems.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to ensure availability for case carts.
- Conduct regular quality assurance audits of peers.
Requirements:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Preferred: Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed by the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of relevant cumulative job-specific experience required.

- Required professional licensure/certification may substitute for education or experience if applicable.
