About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team at Canonical. As a key member of our infrastructure development group, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining cutting-edge cloud-based systems.

  • You will work closely with top cloud partners, including Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, to ensure Ubuntu remains the best platform for cloud computing.
  • Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and testing cloud-related features within Ubuntu Server, as well as operating our continuous delivery pipelines.
  • You will also collaborate with our distributed team to automate image delivery, testing, and publication processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and integrate new features and enhancements into Ubuntu to support users in public clouds.
  • Collaborate proactively with our distributed team to deliver high-quality code.
  • Write high-quality code to create new features and debug issues.
  • Architect complex new systems and integrations with the clouds.
Requirements
  • You have a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Practical experience with public clouds is essential, along with a strong background in Linux systems administration.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Python software development on Linux.
