Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at the University of Oklahoma. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ambulatory care facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient schedules and provide clerical assistance to support the efficient operation of the facility.
  • Schedule patient appointments and obtain demographic information for new and established patients.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare and enter healthcare providers' schedules into the computer system.
  • Coordinate schedules for patients requiring multiple services.
  • Greet patients and provide a positive experience.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Copy and scan patient forms and medical records.
  • Discuss financial accounts with patients and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform various duties as needed to support the function of the position.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 12 months of experience in a customer service role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of office procedures and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions
  • May require prolonged sitting and use of computer and telephone.
  • May be required to bend, lift, stoop, carry, stand, and reach.
