We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Aide to join our team at Sisters of St. Francis, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires working various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. As a Nurse Aide, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, promoting their independence and dignity, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized attention to residents, encouraging their ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting, ensuring each resident's comfort, privacy, and dignity.
  • Contribute to the care planning process by providing specific information and observations of residents' needs and preferences to charge nurses or other care planning staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment, reporting environmental deficiencies to charge nurses.
  • Respond promptly to residents' call bells, answering questions and addressing concerns in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care and services to residents.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in healthcare, preferably in a similar capacity, is highly desirable.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required; a GED may also be acceptable.
  • You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
