Substation Protection Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Protection Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Energy Team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high voltage electrical substation designs for our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design electrical substation facilities, specifically protection and control systems.
- Deliver accurate and thorough designs that meet industry standards and specifications.
- Prepare project specifications for material and equipment purchase and installation.
- Review internal and external designs for code compliance and good design practice.
- Resolving site queries, attending site meetings, and performing site inspections during the construction phase of projects.
- Maintaining complete project documentation, including completion packages and as-built requirements.
- A degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 3-5 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering.
- Knowledge of modern electric power systems, power system protection, and transmission and distribution systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with relay protection schemes and relay logic.
- Ability to perform independently and in a team environment, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
