Instrument Craftsman

We are seeking an experienced Guitar Technician to join our team at Guitar Center. As a key member of our repair services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments.

We offer a competitive base salary of $40,000 per year, plus commission-based bonuses and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401K with company match, mental health support, paid sick/holiday/vacation time, employee discount program, and tuition reimbursement options.

• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Service customer-owned instruments with a high level of craftsmanship, including guitar maintenance and repair services.
• Maintain store-owned gear and complete warranty repair work.
• Interact with customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, product knowledge, and best practices in guitar repair and maintenance.

• Strong understanding of guitar repair and maintenance techniques, including string replacement, bridge setup, and electronics troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Guitar Center products and services, as well as other musical instruments and equipment.
